"Censor... jaguar?" Lev repeated, trying to remember what a jaguar was; he'd only ever seen a picture of one, and that had been a long time ago as well. "Wait, real guardian?" he asked, looking at Simon in confusion.

"Yes, the censors are more or less annoyances. The real guardians are mental beings created by the owner of this mind. Unlike the censors, I have no control over what they do. It seems the one for this section is not here right now though."

"Ahhh..." Lev replied, comprehending. That Jaguar-Censor didn't seem so intimidating now, and he began to climb up the stone steps of the pyramid. "Let's go ahead and get that key, then."

"Already there." Simon yelled. He was already atop the steps, petting the jaguar on the belly like it was a kitten.

Lev looked up in shock. "How'd you manage to get up there so fast?!" he asked skeptically as he levitated the rest of the way up the pyramid.

"I can teleport, it's one of my many powers." He handed the key to Lev when he got to the top. "How do you think censors get around the mental worlds so fast?" Lev remained silent. "You've never heard of a censor, have you?"

"No, never," Lev replied solemnly, taking the key, which was an intricately carved piece of stone into his hands. It felt much heavier than it looked for some reason.

"Well...this is awkward." Simon said, petting the jaguar over the ears. "Well censors are supposed to organize thoughts, keep bad ideas away and other jazz like that. Don't you have them in your mind?"

"...I don't even know what my mind looks like. Wait... this isn't the whole mental world, is it?" Lev asked, becoming all the more confused with this conversation.

"No, just one right now." Simon was surprised by the last comment. "Wait, wait...you've never seen your own mind? That's pretty f**ked up." He said with interest. "Is this your first time in the mental world ever?"

Lev gave the Censor boy another low-lidded glare. "Yes. I thought my naivety in this place would have been a surefire sign, but apparently, it isn't," he replied in an acidic tone as he began to levitate back down to the base of the pyramid.

"Hey, it's not like it's that unnatural for a psyconaut to have his first chance in a mind at twenty-something." Simon said, shrugging.

Lev ignored the Censor-boy, cradling the heavy stone in the crook of his arm. "I'm not a Psychonaut," he said finally, reaching the bottom of the pyramid.

"....." Simon remained speechless for a moment. He had to admit it was stupid for him to automatically think he was a psyconaut just because he had psychic powers."...if you're not a psyconaut then...what are you?"

Lev closed his eyes, anger beginning to penetrate his features; finally, he reopened them and looked at Simon, his gaze icy and piercing. "What does it matter to you? You're just- you're just a creature from this place..." What could you know about being an outcast, he thought to himself as he spoke, a harsh edge to his voice.
