Jo looked at all the new faces with a big smile, "Alistair told you guys about us? Wow! What deed he say?" asked Jo, becoming very excited. She suddenly stopped herself and fixed her hair a little, blushing at the fact that she had gotten so carried away. She turned to Coco and smiled, "You can call me Jo I suppose... Eet's what everyone calls me at camp..." she said with another warm smile. Jo suddenly walked up beside Alistair and smiled at the two new faces, "'Allo!" she said happily as she grinned at both of them, trying her best to be friendly.

There was a moment when a smile tugged at Marie’s lips and a certain brightness sparkled in the jade reflection of her eyes. She watched the girl as she practically bounded out the door to greet them and could only laugh slightly in response. Apparently, Alistair had a very admiring family. She couldn’t wait until the day when she would return home and her kids would come running out to give her a hug the way Coco had with her uncle. However, she was reminded of the time span between now and then when Nathaniel, most likely frightened by the sudden rambunctious appearance by the girl, burst into a screaming fit that nearly threw her off balance. Marie nearly panicked as the little boy flailed and screeched loud enough to shatter glass and then scowled a bit as she regained her composure. Her first instinct was to pass off the calm child to the nearest person. “Hold this…” Marie gave Alan no time to think as he passed Damitri to him; the little boy staring up at him with a deeply curious glint to his eyes. He hardly seemed to care that his brother seemed to be having an emotional break down in his mother’s arms as he reached up to take Alan’s glasses and chew absently on their thick frames. As she tried her best to comfort the screaming child, Marie smiled at the group. “My name is Marie. A pleasure to meet you.”

Cali noted the man near Alistair first, walking up to him, noticing Marie handing off Damitri to him. "Hi, I'm Caligosto, one of your new relatives. It's nice to meet you." Ilac meanwhile went over to Marie and attempted to help calm down Nathaniel.

"Whoa-" was all that Alan could get out before Damitri was suddenly in his arms. This was followed with a, "Hey! Stop that!" when the baby managed to get a hold of his glasses. "Hey kid, do you even realize I can't see without those??" he said as he shifted the baby in his arms, muttering, "Sheesh, 's been a long time since I've had to do this..." He looked (blindly) towards Cali's voice when the other man spoke and replied with a quick smile, "Oh, yes, nice to meet you too!" before going back to trying to get his glasses away from Damitri and hold the child at the same time. "Ack, can somone help me with this?!"
Coco gave a grin, both when Jo reassured her of how to be addressed and at seeing her father struggle with Damitri. "Here dad, lemme get it," she said as she walked over and took the little boy from his arms. She plucked the glasses away from the baby and handed them carefully back to Alan. "You might wanna wipe 'em. He got a bunch'a spit on 'em," she snickered. Then she looked down at the little boy in her arms with a smile. "What's this one's name?" she asked, to no one in particular.
While that event went on, Lila gave a warm smile to Marie. "I'm Lila; Alan's wife. It's a pleasure meeting you too. Do you need help with that?" she said, ending with a question when Nathaniel began to wail.

“No, no. I’ve got it.” That was a lie. Marie was still new to this whole mothering game. The baby in her arms was as alien to her as its emotions and she found herself struggling just to hold him once again. Nathaniel had always been the one who needed more attention and she should have known this would be how he would react to being around so many strangers. As he father had said, he was timid as a newborn tom cat. Looking at Alan, his glasses covered in saliva, she shook her head a bit. “I’m so sorry. He’s a little bit of a trouble maker.” His brother, however, seemed perfectly content and innocent as he was passed around from Alan to Coco and just laughed. Looking up again, Marie managed a momentary smile to Coco. “Oh, that’s Damitri and this wonderful little creature, it’s Nathaniel.” She gave a somewhat exasperated look as Nathaniel continued to flail and screech and adjusted him into one of her arms to go through the bag on her shoulder. She frowned. “Jo, could you see if Nate’s bear is still in the car?” Marie normally knew how to calm Nathaniel down at these times, but right now he seemed perfectly content to scream his whole way through this visit. It had not been expected in the least for the mother desperately attempting to sooth him with soft, comforting words. She looked at Lila and smiled despite the cries threatening to make her deaf by the end of the day. “He sure has some lungs, doesn’t he?” she joked, trying to make lit of the whole ordeal as best she could.

Jo pouted. The one time she gets to meet Alistair's family and the Loboto's have to go and ruin it with their troublesome children. Jo tried to hide her anger by quickly turning around and heading for the car, quickly nodding to Marie so as not to seem rude. She opened the car door and looked around for the bear while muttering things to herself in French. She found the bear and quickly returned, putting a big a smile as she could manage and handed the bear to the baby.
She then quickly backed off to the side so as not to get in the way of anything.

There was silence from the infant as he took the bear and clutched it close; partially concealing himself for the size of the stuffed toy. He looked at Josephine as if suspicious, easily sensing the hostility that was a very unfamiliar emotion from the woman. In fact, Nathanial looked down right terrified; jade eyes watching her carefully like a little rabbit would a hungry wolf. His lips quivered, but he did not cry, afraid of what she might do and Marie looked almost worried. A single glance at Jo and she saw the malice in her friend’s usually warm eyes. It was an all too familiar look that made her look away quickly and set her gaze instead on Coco who held the other of the pair. “We shouldn’t have come,” she said mentally to Cali. ”Jo doesn’t want us here.” Marie cast him a look and then smiled at the girl holding her son. She hoped if she occupied herself with staying out of conversation, Jo might warm up a bit more. She watched Damitri coo and giggle as if telling jokes to her. “I think he likes you,” she stated sweetly.

As Cali heard the mental comment, he almost growled. He responded mentally: Hey, Jo may be his lover but we're a part of his family now for Christ sake, she should be able to deal. Of course, despite the hostility of this mental comment, he was looking at the family happy as if he hadn't said anything. Cali looked back at Alan. "Do you need some help with that?" As if from nowhere, he opened a small compartment in his metal arm and took out a small cloth, handing it off to Alan.

"Really?" Coco asked, looking up at Marie with her signature grin. "They're both really cute. Even though the other one was screaming. What's his name again?" she asked absentmindedly. She didn't notice the bad feelings at all.
"Huh? Oh... thanks, Caligosto," Alan said warmly when Cali offered the cloth, taking it readily and beginning to clean his glasses with it. He could feel Cali and Jo's discontent at each other, unlike his daughter; apparently they hadn't taken into account that he was an empath. He gave a small frown, unhappy that the others weren't getting along. He finished cleaning his glasses and put them back on, blinking a bit as his sight readjusted.
Then he gave a smile and said cheerfully, "Hey, what say you all to going inside? It's a bit nippy out here; and Lila and I had planned for you all to come inside at some point," he joked. "My home is your home, for today, at least." He began to go back up towards the house, Lila following.
"That sounds good," Alistair agreed, giving a nod. "Come on, everyone!" he said to the others as he slipped his hand around Jo's and began to walk up to the house after Alan and his wife. After they got a little way away from the Lobotos, he asked her, "You okay? You looked a bit upset. What is it?" He may not have been an empath, but he had no trouble spotting Jo's discontent.
Coco started to walk, but then hesitated; she wasn't sure if separating the two twins was the best idea. She opted to stay there and wait for Marie and her two uncles to come along.

Jo suddenly looked up at Alistair, trying her best to stay happy and cheerful. She didn't want to ruin any nice reunion with her selfishness. She sighed and looked down, "Well... I was just wondereeng why um... You didn't set up separate meeteengs... I mean I sort ov wanted zis to be just us... But..." she couldn't help but tell the truth. She didn't want to keep anything hidden from Alistair. She whispered all of this though to make sure no one else could hear other than him, "I mean eet's totally fine... I was just curious... I don't want to ruin anyzing so eet's fine I'll geet over eet..." she said with a little smile, trying to make things easier and to not come off as disrespectful to his family.
She was a tiny bit worried but she knew she'd pull through... Right? She wasn't so sure... She liked Marie a lot, and Ilac was alright... But Cali... She just didn't like Cali that much... She sighed and continued walking. She squeezed his hand a little and smiled again as they headed in.

Marie looked a tad bit sad as she watched Jo and the other go. She did hate it when she felt like she was intruding. Perhaps it was the years of needing perfection that made her afraid of doing something wrong. She wished she could just leave right then and there and make Josephine happy. After all, Jo would have been kind enough to make room so as not to intrude, but there Marie was; standing in a somewhat awkward manner in the front yard with a downcast look. She knew she couldn’t leave even if she wanted to. It would be more than rude to just up and go. Despite her gut feeling, she would have to get through the day and apologize like mad when they left. Marie looked down at Nathaniel as he chewed absently on his bear and smiled a bit before looking at Coco who looked like she had held a baby before and more than once. Damitri looked content as ever in her arms like he did when she held him and was gurgling aimlessly as he held one hand firmly around the fabric of her shirt. He was so calm about this. Marie somewhat wished she could be that young and carefree again. But she was a mother and an adult and she had to face the world without regret and with her head held high. Giving Coco a smile that actual made her a bit less tense, she motioned toward the baby the girl held. “Well it’s good to know I’ll have a helper during this visit. I have a feeling his father will be a bit busy talking everyone’s ear off to hold one of them.” Marie laughed and then began to walk after them; slowing a bit to allow Coco to keep pace without being prompted to rush.

Cali felt his pride droop a bit at Marie's words, but didn't show it on his complexion, other then a slight lowering of his robotic eyelids. Ilac went back over to him, giving him a sort of 'are you okay?' look. Cali seemed to think for a few minutes before shaking off the feeling and nodding at Ilac. Ilac then returned to energy inside of Cali, something he hadn't actually done for a while, and Cali walked after Marie, twiddling his fingers and claw nervously.
