OMG I'VE FINALLY DECIDED WHICH CANON I WANT TO APPLY FOR. 8DDDD
----------------------------------
Cannon Or Original?: CANON CHARACTER ALL THE WAY, MAN.
Character Name: Edgar Teglee
Aliases: Bull (a nickname from his high-school years; he hates this nickname now)
Special Abilities: As a psychic, Edgar specializes in Confusion. His second most powerful ability is Invisibility.
Profession: Part-time artist/art teacher at Whispering Rocks Psychic Summer Camp
Skills: He's very good at working with any sort of art medium, be it paper and pencil to acrylic paint on black velvet (cough). He also knows how to wrestle, though he often doesn't remember the moves very well since the last time he played was in high school. Edgar's also very good with physical sports, since he was big on sports when he was younger. Aside from his physical strength, he's also very smart and knows a lot about many subjects.
Weaknesses: Edgar tends to shy away from social gatherings, and his quiet nature makes people underestimate him and give him very little notice, so he blends into the scenery a lot. He can be confused easily if you catch him off guard as well. Also, he has very slight anger issues that have only a tenth of a percentage of a chance of getting loose, but once that anger's on its way it is GONE- and it will decimate anything in its path.
Special Note: Edgar was once a patient at Thorny Towers and his mind was repaired by Razputin Aquato last year.
Age: 47
Gender: Male
Description: Edgar is a short man with a stocky, muscular build. His arms and torso are very well developed from years of physical training in his youth and sparing exercise nowadays. He is still very physically strong, even though he's almost fifty years old. He has a snub face, with a large, flat nose and yellow eyes. His hair is long and black, with lines of lavender-gray shot through it. He also has a small mustache and a long beard which appears to connect to the rest of his long hair. His skin is purple, with pinkish/lavender tints around his nose, fingers, and various other places. He also has a slight Spanish accent.
Clothing Style/Uniform: Edgar has a short, sleeveless black vest that he wears over a sleeveless shirt, showing his tattooed arms. The shirt has red and white stripes going down it vertically. His vest has many painted designs on it, painted by Edgar himself, that have a Spanish/Hispanic theme. (The tattoos on his arms also have this theme to them.) Among the designs are roses, playing card motifs, snakes, eagles, and bulls (mostly just their head). A large, intricate sun is painted- in great detail- on the back of the vest. There are dark paint strokes in the sun's sunflower-like center that almost look like a lovely woman's silhouette, but if you look too hard you won't be able to see it. He wears simple blue jeans and pointy black cowboy boots to finish off his outfit.
Family: Edgar was an only child, living with his Spanish immigrant grandparents and first-generation Spanish-American parents for most of his childhood and adolescence.
Personality: Edgar could be first and foremost described as, 'caring.' He is certainly a very sympathetic person, as well as an expressive one: happiness will light up his face as if the sun were shining upon it, anger will bring a dark tone to his expression, and the like. He is kind, understanding, sympathetic, empathetic, loving, polite, and a little shy. Though his early history may suggest otherwise, Edgar isn't very competitive at all, and often prefers to stay in his room and paint rather than socialize or compete (in any arena of skill). He's a bit of an introvert, but once you reach out to him you'll see that he's a wonderful, creative person with an avid love for his art.
Quirks: Edgar tends to paint or draw bullfights when he gets frustrated with his art, sometimes drawing the bullfight right on top of the picture he was drawing or painting before he got frustrated.
He also seems to have an affinity for playing cards and making houses and buildings out of them. Indeed, sometimes he challenges himself to see how high he can make one house of cards go.
One more odd thing is how he behaves around women, especially attractive ones who aren't taken: he'll be very polite, as always, but he'll shy away from such women as if he were a little afraid of them.
Likes: Art, painting, any artistic media, inspiration, Spanish influences and culture, Confusion grenades, solitude, Spanish-sounding music. (He also secretly still likes wrestling and competing in sports... he'll never admit it, though.)
Dislikes: Art block, bull fighting, violence, cruelty, people being rude, people messing up his works-in-progress, Psi Blasting (it's his weakest psychic power), people calling him Bull, high school, varsity teams, being around attractive single women (it makes him impeccably nervous.)
History: Edgar was born into a vaguely poor neighborhood that was mostly made of immigrants from the southern parts of Europe, such as Spain and Italy. His grandparents had immigrated from Spain and his parents, who lived with his grandparents, raised him there. Eventually the whole family moved from that neighborhood and into the suburbs when Edgar was about six. Around this time, his parents enrolled Edgar in school, since it was time for him to start.
He was an exceptional student, earning A's in many of his classes- especially physical education. He tried out many sports over the years- football, hockey, soccer- but his true calling, he found, was wrestling. He joined the wrestling team in high school and became one of the top five wrestlers on the team, earning the nickname "Bull" for how unstoppable he was when he charged at his opponent. Edgar had discovered his skill with Confusion around this time, using it during wrestling matches to help catch his opponent off guard so he could ram in and win the match.
Around when Edgar was sixteen, he met a beautiful young cheerleader by the name of Lana. She was gorgeous and sweet, and she and Edgar soon grew to like each other. They began to date, and Edgar couldn't have been happier.
However, there was a male cheerleader on Lana's squad by the name of Dean, and he was certainly much more charming than Edgar, who was still quiet when not in his more competitive state of mind. Lana fell for Dean, and she fell hard. For a while, she kept on saying that she couldn't go on dates with Edgar, hiding the fact that she was dating Dean now by saying she had 'prior arrangements.' Edgar had thought that she seemed less interested in him, but he only found out about her and Dean when he was at the finals for a state-wide wrestling competition and saw Lana in the front row- kissing Dean. He was so shocked he didn't have any time to react when his opponent charged at him and rammed him to the ground, winning the match and costing Edgar's team the entire competition.
His team mates were so angry at Edgar for ruining all their chances, and so they began to harass him almost non-stop when he was at school. He eventually took to eating lunch in the art room so his former friends couldn't find him. It was then that he took up art; he discovered he had a great affinity for the activity, and he decided to pursue such a career and put his past behind him.
Edgar graduated successfully and went to an art college, becoming an amateur painter. He soon gained more and more skill, and was beginning to become more and more famous, respectively. However, Edgar was still plagued by uncertain thoughts concerning Lana and Dean, whom he just couldn't let go for some reason unknown to him. (The reason was a psitanium deposit near the town he was living in at the time, the loose energy affecting his psyche.)
One night after a stressful art exhibition (a critic had been at the exhibition and severely degraded him) he snapped, rampaging through his studio in anger and trashing the entire place. After he came back to his senses, he sat in the center of it all and wept. A neighbor called the nearby asylum, and they came and collected him to put him into therapy. From there, he was transferred to Thorny Towers about a year before it closed down. He was restrained from leaving because of Loboto, however, who had chained him up in the art therapy room and wouldn't let him go until he 'completed his treatment,' which he obviously wouldn't be able to do without help.
And then, you all know the rest of the story. XDDDD

Roleplay Sample:
Edgar looked over his class as they worked quietly on their drawings. He'd given them a bit of free time to doodle during the last few minutes of their class- and now little Chloe came up to him, holding her picture in her hand.
"Ah, have you finished your drawing already?" Edgar asked with a smile.
"Yes, Mr. Teglee. I thought you may be interested to see what it was," Chloe said in her serious voice, handing Edgar the paper. Drawn on it was a pencil-and-crayon drawing of a few different aliens standing with the Chloe-alien that always appeared in her works- and Edgar was among the congregation of aliens, his blank eyes and little smile beaming out at the real Edgar's.
"Ahhh... it's wonderful, Chloe!" he said warmly, handing the picture back to the little girl. "I have a feeling you'll become a very good artist someday!"
Chloe didn't respond for a moment, looking at the drawing Edgar had been working on, which was sitting on his desk. "Who's that?" she asked, pointing to the picture: it was drawn with crayons, but Edgar had certainly used a lot of skill in creating that simple portrait of a beautiful flamenco dancer.
Edgar's eyes widened; he'd barely realized he'd drawn that. "Oh, uh... she's just a person I drew," he told Chloe quickly, covering the picture. "Just practicing working with this medium, you see?"
Chloe nodded after a moment, and retreated back to her seat. Edgar gave a small sigh and opened a drawer on his desk- that was filled with those subconscious drawings of matadors, flamenco dancers, the glowing city... and the bull, most of all. He slid the drawing he'd made into that drawer and closed it, saying to himself that he would stop drawing those things.
If he could.
