Cannon Or Original?: Original.
Character Name: Bao (Surname), Xiu-Xiu (First). Or, if you westernize it, it is Xiu-Xiu Bao.
Aliases: Xiu. A lot of people outside of China are too lazy to add that extra 'Xiu'.
Special Abilities: Especially good at reading the minds of animals. Also highly proficient in causing confusion
Profession: Assistant janitor at Whispering Rock.
Skills: Excellent at cooking, cleaning, and babysitting; Knows Kung Fu (Monkey Style); Can play a mean Chinese fiddle; Has the strange ability to summon small woodland creatures to her side with a cheery whistling tune.
Weaknesses: Poor at most other psychic abilities; Phobia of planes (Even so much as looking at a picture of one can send her running); Thunderstorms (These were particularly troublesome while sailing, and not to mention downright freightening in the first place); Male Authority.
Special Note: Though originally from China, her accent is not strictly Chinese; It sounds more like a mixture of things, of accents from most of the places she been for extended periods of time. So, if you can imagine a Chinese-Russian-French-British accent, then good for you.
Age: 18
Gender: Female.
Description: Xiu-Xiu is a beautiful girl. She stands at about 5'5, and weighs around 120 pounds. Her body is thin, but well-toned due to years of martial arts training and manual labor. She is the aloof owner of an hourglass figure; Curvy hips, thin abdomen, and a nice pair of... Well, moving on. Her legs make up most of her, though; They are quite long, ending in small feet, with similarly small hands (On her arms, of course).
One thing most people notice first about Xiu-Xiu is her long, flowing black hair; Usually, it's done up in a ponytail, high on her head, with large bangs falling on either side of her face. However, this does not help matters much, as the length of the braid reaches well past the smalls of her back. When she lets it down, her hair almost touches her ankles.
Another striking feature would be Xiu-Xiu's eyes; Coal black and high on her face, due to her high cheekbones, with a natural blue shade occuring from her eyelids to the start of her forehead. Her skin is a gentle shade of violet.
Clothing Style/Uniform:
Torso: A red mandarin shirt with gold around the edges, and a sun-shaped patch sewn on to the chest.
Legs: Black with gold trim 'kung fu' pants (AKA Zen doesn't know what they're called xD)
Feet: A pair of yellow... slippers? Will give appropriate name when I find out what they're called.

Irrelevent. Like she ever made it a point to remember anyone other than Frink-Frink...
Frink's Mini-Bio!
Frink-Frink. 7. The lemur that constantly accompanies Xiu-Xiu. A curious prosimian who is loyal to Xiu-Xiu, and Xiu-Xiu only. Loves to bask in the sun, being with Xiu-Xiu, and staring at people.
Funny thing about Frink-Frink is, however, that he has some psychic in him; As stated previously, the little fellow can often be caught staring at people with his singular, yellow eye that never seems to blink when he's in such a state. Thing is, people who even so much as glance at the staring Frink-Frink become suddenly mesmerized by him, and can't seem to look at anything else. This is Frink-Frink putting you under his control. He may telepathically send you a message of something he'd like you to do (Such as fetch him a snack), or, if Xiu-Xiu is around, she may give you orders. And you will follow them. Welcome to the world of hypnosis!
Of course, that can all be avoided if you just don't look at the lemur. Or if you have a strong mental state, or if you're taken out of the trance by a physical force (Such as being knocked into or shaken) or by another distraction, like a loud noise of some kind..
Oh. And don't touch his hat, unless you want some serious lemur tooth in your hand.
Frink's Mini-History: While living in Madagascar, Xiu-Xiu came across the baby Frink-Frink one day. He was in poor health, wounded, hungry and even missing one of his eyes! She used her mind-reading abilities on him, and found out that he was attacked by another, aggressive female lemur, and abandoned by his mother. She felt sorry for him, so she took him with her wherever she went, caring for him and eventually, he got better, and has been by Xiu-Xiu's side ever since. Once the two were in Europe, she even bought him a nifty hat and eyepatch. Spending so much time with Xiu-Xiu caused the psychic energy she emitted to manifest in Frink-Frink, giving him the ability of hypnosis.
Personality: Xiu-Xiu is the kind of girl who doesn't make friends easily. It could be that people find her blunt honesty rude, or it could be the intimidating aura she has. Perhaps it's because that, whenever anyone musters up the courage to speak with her, she always puts a guard up, interacting with them cautiously, as if she expects everyone she speaks with to suddenly go nutso-coocoo. Or maybe, just maybe, because of the fact that everyone she has ever made an emotional attachment to has left her or done her wrong, she's afraid to have friends, fearing that they, too, will leave her or betray her in some way.
Of course, that's not to say Xiu-Xiu can't be personable when she wants to be. If she's in one of her more social moods, she can be quite talkative, although, she tends to keep the conversations lighthearted; It wouldn't due to chat about personal things. It's not like she plans to befriend the person or anything. If she DID start opening up about personal topics, it should be taken as a sign that she likes the person she is with. Another sign is if she allows you to pet Frink-Frink, laughs (A real laugh; Not some half-hearted chuckle) and smiles in front of you, or asks if you'd like to hear her play the fiddle.
However, as it stands, Xiu-Xiu has never spoken about her personal life, hasn't let anyone touch Frink-Frink, or played any private fiddle concerts for anyone. If she ever does, it'll be a sign of her finally healing from whatever trauma she may have incurred within her lifetime. Which is a lot of trauma, if you must know.
But, if you put her with an animal, all that changes. She plays with them and acts rather childlike, whether she's petting a squirrel or play-wrestling with a bear (Mikhail reference of your choosing goes here). Animals seem to like her, as well, although, there have been more than a few instances of Xiu-Xiu trying to interact with the wrong kinds of critters. In her mind, animals are more trustworthy and loyal than most people. Take Frink-Frink, for example; He's stuck with her through thick and thin for years, while the people she's met always leave her.
As I've mentioned before, Xiu-Xiu has suffered through a lot of hardships, resulting in much trauma. For one, she has a problem with male authority, thanks to her Father; Towards men with authority over her, Xiu-Xiu can be terribly rude, and if she really doesn't like them, can become a bit pushy, but hasn't turned entirely violent yet. The reason she acts like this is because it's probably her way of taking out the anger and frustration placed in her by her Father's actions, and directing it towards people who remind her of him.
Overall, Xiu-Xiu is just a girl who has lived a bizarre, unsettling life, who only wants to have a life of her own with people she can trust...
Quirks: Known to play the Chinese fiddle from time to time at the lake, late at night. Helps her relax before she goes to bed.
Oftentimes, takes other peoples things without realizing it, whether it be their food, their stuff, or their bed. Usually apologizes after she does, though.
Brushes her hair exactly 56 strokes a day, and God help you if you interrupt her.
Likes: Lemurs, animals in general, sun bathing (Despite what her pale complexion tells you), being outdoors, savory foods, kind people, the Chinese fiddle, kids.
Dislikes: People who mistreat animals, most people, sweet food, being stuck inside for too long, the sea.
History: October 12th. Xiu-Xiu was born into the Bao family, which consisted of her Father, Ming; Mother, Mei; And 6 brothers.
Needless to say, Xiu-Xiu comes from a pretty big honkin' family.
She lived with them in rural China for the first 8 years of her life. She would spend her days cleaning, practicing the Chinese fiddle, and studying martial arts. It was a simple life, but she was content.
Her Father, Ming, however, was not; He was a man who cared more about money and status than his own family, and when a pair of travelling gypsies offered a hefty price for his daughter, well, he couldn't refuse. This caused great trauma to Xiu-Xiu as she was forced from her home by her own Father, only to live with two people she didn't know, with only the shirt on her back and the fiddle in her hands...
However, her fate wouldn't be so clear cut; Halfway to wherever the gypsies were going, Xiu-Xiu escaped them. Trouble was, she was somewhere in Russia, and nowhere near China. After a few weeks of roaming the streets, an elderly woman who knew a small bit of Chinese took her in. She stayed with her for the next 2 years, and despite a rather massive language barrier, the two got along quite well. But one day, when Xiu-Xiu was walking to the store, she was kidnapped by a man who was obviously neither Russian or Chinese; He forced her to go with him on a plane to somewhere very, very far away....
Once in Madagascar, Xiu-Xiu ran away yet again while her assailant took a bathroom break. She never did find out what he wanted with her, and to be honest, she was somewhat thankful that she never did.
However, now Xiu-Xiu was somewhere entirely different from China or Russia, with no clue on the local language or anything. So, she simply played her fiddle in the streets in an attempt to make some money. This is also the place where she meets Frink-Frink (Read his mini-history for more info).
Luckily for Xiu-Xiu, however, a woman heard her playing and decided to take her back to France to make Xiu-Xiu into a star. For the next 3 years, Xiu-Xiu was schooled in proper etiquette, practiced the Chinese fiddle extensively, and lived rather comfortably, despite being alone most of the time.
But, as fate likes to kick her around, Xiu-Xiu's time here would not last; The woman who planned on making her a star ended up eloping with her Doctor, leaving Xiu-Xiu all alone and back on the streets, playing her fiddle for money and letting people pet her lemur for a fee. This was all fine and dandy until the day came that a man of British descend told her to come with him, if she liked. Considering she had nowhere better to go, Xiu-Xiu took him up on his offer.
As it would turn out, back in Great Britain, the man was a modern-day pirate, who, unfortunately, believed he was a pirate of days gone by (AKA He craaazy). Despite this, he ran a successful pirating crew which Xiu-Xiu, 13, was now part of. Of course, her pay was terrible, so she often stole items or money from the rest of the crew. She had a plan now, and she needed all the money she could find.
Xiu-Xiu stayed with them for the following 5 years, during which time she would find out about her proficiency in causing all sorts of mental confusion thanks to a rather bizarre incident involving a police car, a rooster and a cowbell. Once Xiu-Xiu was 18, she had finally reached her goal; She had saved enough money for a greencard (A fake one, but still...) and a ticket to America. She bid adieu to Europe, and headed for her new destination...
... Where she now works as an assistant janitor at a Summercamp for, of all things, psychics. Still, it was better than.... everything and everywhere else she had been.
