I was asked to type up Limoni meeting the Queen since they're such good friends. Took me a while to get the inspiration for it, but here it is!!!

.: The Queen of Hearts :.
Limoni
The palace was such a strange and unfamiliar place for her. So quiet and so empty that it made the young Queen feel alone; as if the rest of the world had vanished and left her to wander those cold halls forever. She ran a pale hand over the cold stone surface of the wall to her left and stared downward as if deep in thought until she reached the twisting staircase down from her lonesome tower. It was barely morning and barely her second day there and she was already miserable with the solitude she had been forced to face. Today she had dared venture forth from her room to look about a bit in hopes that she would find someone, anyone who would give her a bit of company. Her footsteps echoed as she made her way down flight after flight of stairs until she reached the large wooden door that separated the tower from the rest of the citadel; pushing it open with a slight hesitation.
The corridor beyond that was just as gloomy and solemn as the ones before, but still she pressed onward. Her hopes were beginning to die until she heard another set of footsteps from around the corner that filled her with both excitement and dread. She froze of the spot and watched as a shadow appeared on the wall with another close behind and then formed into a figured as they rounded the corner together. One was the only face she knew in the entire kingdom; the King himself. He stopped when he saw her and furrowed his brow slightly as he observed her and the Queen was quick to curtsey as his presence. However, the one behind him was not someone she recognized.
He looked to be an adolescent, perhaps around five or eight years old, but was like no child she had ever seen. His eyes were a piercing and curious orange like the flicker of a candle on a cold winter’s night and was dressed in a uniform fit for a police officer. Her eyes were instantly draw to his hands however, which dragged behind him like the arms of a rag doll. She tried not to stare, gaze drawn in by the intricate designs upon them and instead focused her eyes upon the king to the best of her abilities. He strolled over to her and the motioned for the boy to follow as he stood back and stared at the stranger in silence. “Perfect timing my dear…” Seizing the boy by the front, the King moved him to stand before him and gave him a push toward the Queen. “This would be Limoni my….son of sorts.” Limoni eyed her for a moment and then hid behind the King once more looking suspicious and perhaps even afraid. The Queen’s gaze grew soft upon the boy and she smiled at him. She did love children.

Out in the garden later that day, the Queen looked almost distraught. A garden was supposed to be a place of beauty and wonder, but this one, surrounded by an overgrown hedge that served as a fence, was hardly something that could be called a garden. Grass and rocks and brambles dotted the wide landscape and made it look like the yard of a haunted house. She sighed and settled upon the ground with seeds in hand and began to carefully place them into the ground along the edges of the stone path. Then she heard someone approach her from behind. She was on her feet in seconds and turned, nearly tripping over a watering can, to see Limoni standing a little ways away and watching her with an intensely focused stare. Calming herself from the sudden panic, she smiled at him.
“Good afternoon Limoni…” He did not respond. The Queen gave a slight tilt of her head as they observed one another in silence and then settled back upon the floor with seeds in hand. She motioned for him to come closer and he did so after a moment of uncertainty. “Would you like to help me?” He nodded and the Queen settled a small pile of seeds in the palm of his oversized hand. He stared down at them in wonder and she motioned toward the small holes she had dug in the ground earlier. “Just put them in the ground and then place the soil over them. And in no time, this garden will be beautiful…” He stood there as she planted the seeds and then, struggling to control his own hand in the proper manner to perform the task, placed a seed in the ground and carefully rolled the soil over it. This was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
