HELLO ALL! I'm finally getting around to posting here on the boards. Meant to a while ago, but things have been busy (and stressful) recently so I haven't had the chance.
I have several characters I'd like to roleplay, but I'm going to start out with Gustav as he needs some developing. Although a lot of this stuff is fairly solid, some of it is subject to change- I tend to 'learn' more about the character as I draw or roleplay them, and since Gustav is fairly underdeveloped then he may become slightly different than I've outlined on here. (Mostly small things. I might develop on his fears, history, etc.)
I also think it's really weird that Lovenu and I both have French characters, and their last names both have 'La' in them... Weird in a bad way. D8 I feel bad for it, actually. It's not like it was INTENTIONAL- I've had Gus for months- but it's just strange having them both on the same forum. I would just not RP with him so that I wouldn't make the forums too boring, but I really do love him and I want to work with him more. :C
RAMBLEEEEERAMBLE. On to the application!
Player Handle: Zahzu (Or just Zah. )
IMS: lemurness@hotmail.com
I have other messengers but I pretty much never get on them. If you want those addresses, ask away- I can try to log onto them more often upon request. x)

(MAN I'M CREATIVE WITH THE USERNAMES!)
Cannon Or Original?: Original
Character Name: Gustav LaPluie
(Pronounced Goo-Stav, like the hurricane; And La Pu-ree, as demonstrated HERE)
Aliases: Gus, although he doesn't typically like it.
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Special Abilities: He's pretty much only good with Atmoskinesis- The manipulation and conjuring of clouds/weather.
Profession: Assistant Counselor?
Skills: Cleaning anything and everything. He's also good at messing up plans, although his methods for doing so are fairly simple and he doesn't typically put a large amount of thought behind them. I'd say he's better for initiating a plan, not concocting it.
Weaknesses: Terrified of small, dirty spaces. He's really bad at Pyrokinesis, unable to conjure a flame unless uses a lightning bolt to start it.
Special Note: Adhering to the French stereotype, Gustav is actually a pretty good cook. He doesn't do it often (as he's usually too busy cleaning the kitchen rather than using it), and doesn't like to demonstrate the talent, but his attention to detail really does make him good at it.
Description: With a Psychonauts stereotype character they have to have some anti-stereotype traits, right? In Gustav's case, he's a relatively tall guy- although not incredibly so- but still contrary to the typical short Frenchman. Hair is black with a 'flop' of bangs in the front, curling inward toward his face with a few loose strands that curl around his forehead. Hair in the back flips upward in an almost girly fashion, and- despite the care he puts into his hair- there is a bit of hair on the very top of his head that almost always sticks up in some fashion. His ears are relatively large, nose is bigger than average (nowhere near Fred-sized, of course) and pointed.
I haven't decided on his eye color yet, but I figure they'll hazel (having the ability to changed color based on his mood or his surroundings) with a light brown + gray-blue mixed in being the usual color. Many of his back teeth (molars and premolars) have a kind of 'sharp' look to them, probably because he tend to clench (he used to grind, but he's stopped) them when he gets mad- Which happens relatively often. Oh, and he's a pretty skinny boy. x)
Clothing Style/Uniform: He keeps the common light orange Whispering Rock T-Shirt, although his shirt is a bit long for him and it droops lower over one side of his torso. Under the T are red and white striped quarter-length sleeves. which widen slightly toward the ends. Pants are simple black jeans, and atop his head is always a grey beret with a few red pinstripes. Beret is usually worn in an attempt to hide those bothersome 'alfalfa hairs' on his head, but it mostly just flattens them (so they're pointing backward) rather than actually hiding them.
(Haha, I've never been good at describing appearances/clothes)
Family: None of his family members are really relevant- There's pretty much no chance that they would ever appear (see history).
Personality: Also contrary to the French stereotype, Gustav is an insane clean freak, almost to the point of an OCD. He's always looking up ways to keep himself and his living conditions clean, so as a result he can tell you all kinds of cleaning tricks on request. Girls tend to fall for his French charms fairly easily, especially since he keeps himself so well groomed. Although Gustav is typically polite, especially toward females, he can be a major jerk to anyone he decides he doesn't like. He also enjoys ruining people's plans whenever possible by literally 'raining' on their parade.
Gustav likes attention for the most part and wants to be in the front of the crowd, but he also likes his alone time- The only thing he really can't stand is being outright ignored by someone he's with.
Growing up with wealthy (albeit un-attentive) parents, it's naturally made him a relatively selfish kid.
Quirks: Obsessed with cleaning, germaphobe, claustrophobic to a minor extent. He also has a secret- but very severe- fear of earthquakes.
Likes: Attention, girls, revenge, rain (and any other cloud-based weather phenomena), floating.
Dislikes: Stuff I've said before. 8I Germs or dirtiness in any form, incredibly small spaces (especially if they're unclean), falling sensations, and any weather that he is unable to control.
History: (I've got some ideas for a further history, so I'll probably add an update once I get it all sorted around to the point I like it.)
Parents sent him to Whispering Rock because they are annoyed by his abilities. They are a wealthy family and, as a child, Gustav would ruin fancy dinner parties by conjuring up a hailstorm in the living room. The boy just wanted his parents to talk to him- or even look at him- But they don't want to be bothered by such small things. His parents are pretty much just jerks- They don't even bother to pick Gustav up from the camp in person and, if they actually pick him up at all, they just send a plane or limo driver to get him. Although he does still long for that fabled parental affection (something he hasn't personally experienced), he's become used to their lack of love and has stopped his attempts to gain their attention, now focusing more on himself and reaching his own goals.
Picture: I'll probably draw him more sometime soon, but for now his only reference pictures are here: PICS 1 PIC 2
And one by Nakki (although this isn't a ref for his usual clothes or anything, haha)!
Roleplay Sample:
---
"I told you, child- All we have is BURGERS- And they still ain't done! Now shut yer mouth before I slap it to the grill and cook it like a slab of meat!" Ford snapped at the boy, merely turning his head and yelling without moving from his spot at the grill.
Thin, girly fingers gripped at the dry wood, with an equally as girly figure hunched angrily over the counter. The disgruntled boy growled in frustration and straightened his posture, sticking his face in the small 'room' toward the old man.
"ZHIS IZ AN OUTRAGE!" he howled, his already loud voice only being enhanced by the small area. "My shipment won't arrive for anozer day- I need somezhing edible to keep me alive until it gets 'ere!"
The old man whipped around surprisingly fast and raised his spatula to the intruding child threateningly, bushy eyebrows and aging skin wrinkled to give him that 'I've lost all my patience'-style death stare. Of course, Gustav knew that he wouldn't seriously grill his face (... Would he?), but he gave in to the threat nonetheless. He wouldn't get anywhere with the grumpy man anyway, and he'd prefer not to risk the beauty of his face over something so futile.
Straightening his beret over perfectly-groomed hair, he turned from the counter and stormed across the cabin. The heavy thud of angry feet dressed in fine shoes on the hard wood floor echoed behind him as he'd head for the door.

D8 OLORD MY RP IS SO RUSTY. But hopefully this board will get me some much needed practice... Haha.
WELL this thing took me a day and a half to write. Ahahaha. xD I should've done it all in one sitting instead of working little-by-little over a few days.
