I'm still not completely sure if I'm posting this in the right place. Sorry if I'm not.

Cannon Or Original?: Original.
Character Name: Arthur Baskins
Aliases: Arty
Special Abilities: Arty can create powerful confusion grenades and hit things with precision (with Psy-blasts, grenades, telekinesis, Pyrokenesis, rocks, etc.). He’s brainy and quick-thinking, and can work on his own.
Profession: (Cadet)
Skills: Memorization, solving puzzles. He’s good at being very inconspicuous, and nobody really notices or cares when he listens in on a conversation, so he’s a very good person to have around when you need information.
Weaknesses: He’s too shy to speak his thoughts, even when in tight situations and the solution is obvious. Arty doesn’t run quickly, and lacks strength and courage to create powerful offensive attacks. He comes off incredibly nervous around girls, and a bit obnoxious around boys and men. His glasses are too big for him and always fall off.
Special Note: Arty and his older brother have a rough relationship. Arty is still angry about him his brother used to bully him with his mental abilities, and they have drifted apart. Arty’s mind is closed off from the rest of the world. He has an unrealistic impression of things, seeing them much scarier than they actually are.
Age: The average cadet age; perhaps around 10, maybe 11 or 12.
Gender: Male.
Description: Arty’s skin color is a deep blue, with a grayish tint. He has bright red-orange hair parted in the center with long bangs. His eyes are a bold teal color, but can’t be seen through his glasses. He’s slightly taller than most of the cadets, and probably near the height of Clem or Mikhail. He has braces.
Clothing Style/Uniform: He wears big, black-rimmed round glasses, a scarf, a t-shirt, shorts, tube socks and shiny black shoes. He also wears fingerless gloves. (Very similar to Lili’s.) He wears a knit cap every day of the year.
Family: He lives with his mother, father and older brother. His mother is a psychic, but his father only has very slight signs of psychic ability. His older brother is a stronger psychic than him, and actually used to attend Whispering Rock.
Personality: Arty is very quiet and hesitant to surrender anything to people, but when he gets to know someone he is very likely to go on tangents to them. He’s actually very opinionated and stubborn, but keeps his thoughts inside. He wishes that more people would talk to him, but at the same time doesn’t. He is very smart, but also very self-conscious and can’t think quickly when under pressure, making him look sort of simple a lot of the time.
Quirks: He has what his mother calls, “psychic hiccups” every once in a while. All of his psychic aggression is allowed to slip out in short, uncontrolled bursts. It usually comes out in the form of quick, destructive psi-blasts or flickering psi-shields, the latter being the less dangerous one by far. This, according to some psychiatrists, is probably the reason why his intentional psi-blasts are weaker than normal.
Likes: Algebra, science class, literature, portable video games (Gameboy-esque), nature, climbing things, being high in the air, finding the plot holes in Vernon’s stories, watching the other kids interact, superstitions and myths.
Dislikes: (unnecessary) Big words, winter, leafy food, talking in front of people, people trying to get inside his head (both figuratively and literally), taking his hat off, when adults underestimate him, hot drinks.
History: He hasn’t been looking forward to attending the psychic camp, preferring staying home during the summer, but his parents forced him to attend in an attempt to keep him from destroying any more of the house with his psychic hiccups. He has grown up like a normal child, aside from the incredible amount of unpopularity he has earned amongst the other kids because of his destructive uncontrolled mental abilities.
Picture: I have a sketch, but I’m unable to scan it at the moment…
Roleplay Sample:
Arty peered up at the counselor, adjusting his glasses. He couldn’t tell if they seemed mad at him or disgusted by him, but he knew that they were upset with him for one reason or another. Maybe they were just cold.
“I’d like to call my parents,” He said quietly. The counselor’s mouth twitched a little before she sighed a little and looked away nervously for another counselor to pin him on. Needless to say, Arty was just as nervous about talking to the counselor.
“Um, The phone is in the main lodge…”
The air outside was humid and warm, as usual. Vines and shrubs crept onto the path between the main campground and the lodge, and small lizards and bugs waited on the trees on either side of him. Water pooled in places on the sidewalk. The semi-tropical weather made Arty uncomfortable. He couldn’t wait until he got into the air-conditioned comfort of the camp lodge. And he knew that once he got inside he’d be anticipating the long drive home in his mother’s familiar van.
