"Oh great... Tightropes... Just what I needed..." Evan said as she scowled, looking at the ropes. How the heck was she gonna pull this one off? She couldn't even balance on one foot due to the unfortunate size of her head. She frowned and looked around for an alternative route, "Hmm..." she walked away from the ropes as she searched, ignoring anything Nico said.
As she walked she came across a giant pendulum. It was a part of the cuckoo clock that went up and down. Evan decided she'd have more success using this as a makeshift elevator than dying trying to get across tightropes. She jumped on as it came down and held on for dear life. As it went up she gulped. Evan wasn't the biggest fan of heights. When she reached the top she jumped off, almost losing her footing, but managing to miraculously catch herself. She gave a sigh of relief and continued on her way, not worrying about Nico and his silly tightropes.
Evan was going to get to that cuckoo first whether it was the last thing she did.

Slowly and unsurely, Nico worked his way up the tightropes as quickly as he could. He had to catch his balance with every step and jump he took, but he kept going, fueled with his competitive spirit- for he'd spotted Evangeline riding up the pendulum. Stupid, stupid, stupid, Nicolai thought to himself, gritting his teeth in aggravation. He wasn't sure what he was calling stupid, though: Evan, the pendulum, this mind, himself... all that was a bit objective at the moment. Nico was a bit too busy making sure he didn't fall to his death.
Finally, moments after he almost tumbled down to his demise and was narrowly saved by some well-placed Telekinesis, he finally hauled himself up onto the platform before what appeared to be the front door to the Cuckoo Clock. Unfortunately for Nico, he arrived a few moments after Evangeline.
He glared fearsomely at the girl as she walked off towards the door, and Nico ran to catch up with her, gritting his teeth again.

There was silence, the girl waiting for any sign of the two intruders as she stood in the dark doorway of her dressing room. It was a kind of dark, cold silence that told her something was about to happen, that even though nothing had happened yet, there was little hope that it would sooner or later. She swallowed hard, wringing her hands together in a show of great anxiety. It was in the nature of a Cuckoo to be a skittish bird. They would sing how in the trees where nothing could touch them, then fly off at the first sign of danger, but she was an unlucky little bird as she had not been graced with the ability to flutter off unharmed. Like a newborn chick in a nest, she could only watch and wait as every predator in the world hunted her. Then she heard it, the door creak open, light poured in over the downstairs landing and then footsteps. She gave a squeak and tucked herself in the corner.
If they couldn't find her, they would leave. She just had to stay quiet and still, calm and silent. Sadly, that was much easier said than done. With her trembling body and heavy, panicked breathing, a blind person could find her.
