"Hm?" Simon perked his head to the mournful tune of the music in the air. It was ominous and at the same time enchanting to Simon's ears. Looks like it's coming from that old crow's nest, Simon thought. Hm...if I can get up there, maybe I can finally find out what's going on around here. He took in a deep breath and exhaled, going over to the crow's nest and checking the rope ladder. It seemed pretty secure enough...with not much trouble, he began the climb up.

"...Who are you...?" Spoke a meek, wavering voice, like that of a scared little girl, moments after Simon had began his ascent up the latter.
"I... I don't know you. What do you want?" It spoke again, as he went higher.
"You... You should leave..." The voice grew deeper, as if aging, as the music grew louder, more dramatic with each step Simon took.
"I want you to leave.... You have no reason to be here!" The voice was like that of a young adult now, much more forceful and demanding, and far more enraged than it had sounded previously, the melody coming from the crows nest now near-deafening and played lightning fast.
"If you don't leave now... I'm not responsible, it's not my fault!" The voiced bellowed furiously, as the music played and a far-off fog prepared to roll in...

Simon paused a few times at the voice. He was halfway up and now this voice was talking to him. It sounded familiar, like he had heard it somewhere before, something involving a lemur...He shrugged it off for now, continuing the climb.
Maybe it was just the fact that at this moment he was prepared for some kind of fight. In the core of every mind, there was usually supposed to be something like that, at least from his experiences. He was fully prepared for some kind of battle with some kind of big mental boss. Besides, it wouldn't affect him too much if he lost, right?
So, he climbed until he reached about a third of the way up and said. "I understand..." It sounded quieter then he thought it would when he said it. "But, I've been eager for a challenge madame! I'll take whatever you dish out!" He said this in a way that almost made him sound like the pirate he was dressed like. He gave a sort of gleeful grin that made him look almost evil with the darkened atmosphere around him.
It took him only a few more steps for him to reach the very top of the crows nest and look at the person sitting in it. His smile drooped until slipping away from his face completely when he saw the appearance of the woman. She looked so battered and neglected, Simon almost felt bad that he hadn't listened to her and just gone back down....almost. He stayed up in the crow's nest anyway, not saying anything and simply looking at her, almost sadly as it were.
